Tiffany Rollins began dancing at the age of four at Spisak's Dance Academy and was a gymnast for 8 years. She went on to take classes with Lenna DeMarco at GCC before going to ASU. In 1998, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance & Choreography. Her senior year she was awarded a Choreography Scholarship and was chosen to be part of the committee that chose the next year's faculty for the ASU dance department. In 1999, Tiffany also graduated from SWIHA (Southwest Institute of the Healing Arts) in Massage Therapy. She has danced with Center Dance Ensemble, Showstoppers, Dance FX, and AzDance Group. In her dance career, she has been lucky enough to do summer training with Chuck Davis (African Dance), Mark Morris, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey Dance Co and The Pulse. She was awarded A Pulse Teacher Scholarship to dance in New York with the SYTYCD choreographers in 2010. She was tested and certified in both ballet and jazz in 2006 to become a member of Dance Masters of America, a national dance teacher association. She has also judged several dance competitions held here in the Valley. Tiffany has been the owner and director of Dynamic Motion Dance Academy in Anthem, Arizona since 2000. Her passion is teaching ballet and jazz to the younger age groups.
Instructor Ashley McGarity
Ashley McGarity is a USAFF & AACCA certified Cheer Instructor & Staff Lead with the National Cheer Association. Prior to this, Ashley was the Varsity Head Coach at Sandra Day O’Connor High School and held numerous coaching positions with Desert Storm Elite, Flames Gymnastics & Eclipse Gymnastics. Ashley’s competitive cheer teams have won numerous national championships including the USA All-Star Nationals in Anaheim, the Jamfest National Competition in Palm Springs, and the USA All-Star Nationals in Las Vegas, NV. Her teams have won multiple titles in the Valley of the Sun Competition series including a second place finish with her Large Varsity team at the AIA Arizona State HS Championship in 2009. Ashley has been a competitive gymnast and cheerleader for the past ten years. She recently won the USA All-Star College Nationals, took 2nd in the 5-man Stunt & Large Varsity AZ State Championship & finished 3rd at the UCA National Cheer Championships.
Georgi Rusafov is a graduate of National Dance High School in Sofia, Bulgaria studying under Peter Koldamov. After graduation he joined the National Opera and Ballet of Bulgaria. Georgi received master education for teaching ballet & choreography at the Bulgarian National Music Conservatory in Sofia, Bulgaria. He won second prize in the National Competition 'Anastas Petrov' in Bulgaria and was a participant in the International Ballet Competition – Varna 2002. He was invited to compete in the International Ballet Competition -Helsinki 2005 and invited to participate in International Ballet Competition – Varna 2006. Georgi toured Spain, Greece, Germany, Holland & Italy with Bulgarian National Opera and Ballet. He also toured Egypt as principal guest artist with Roberta Ballet. Mr.Rusafov performed as a soloist with the Bulgarian National Opera and Ballet and the National Theater - Estonia. He was a soloist dancer for Milwaukee Ballet & a principal dancer for Northern Plains Ballet, Omaha Ballet Theater & company member with Ballet Arizona. Georgi performed as a principal guest artist with San Diego City Ballet, West Arkansas Ballet, Alamo Arts Ballet Theater, Ballet Arizona, National ballet Theater and Russe State Ballet.
Julie Hatton teaches jazz, lyrical and hip hop. She loves teaching and enjoys watching children grow through dance. This is Julie’s ninth year with Dynamic Motion Dance Academy. Julie began her dance training at the age of 10 and has had a passion for dance and choreography ever since. Julie has trained with The Pulse in Las Vegas and Arizona. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance Education.
Katherine McDonnell has been teaching dance since 1990. Her experiences include Nevada Festival Ballet School, Nevada Dance Theatre Academy, Ballet Arts Tucson, AZ., School of Ballet Arizona & the University of Nevada, where she was fortunate to develop and deliver educational lectures on nutrition, weight management & body image, in addition to ballet, jazz & yoga classes. Her dance training began in VA, where she studied from age 8 with Ballet Russe premier danseur Oleg Tupine. Upon graduation from School of American Ballet, she was invited to dance with Los Angeles Ballet Company, where she rose to soloist ranks. Then she danced as a principal with Nevada Festival Ballet. She guested with Chicago Lyric Opera Ballet, was a leading dancer with Ballet Tucson & ballet mistress for The Reno Ballet. Katherine has danced many principal roles in classical repertoire, as well as ballets by Balanchine, John Clifford, Vassili Sulich & Ian Horvath, in addition to works by Peter Martins and production shows by choreographer Michael Darrin and Juliet Prowse’s choreographer, David Chavez. Since becoming a certified personal trainer & a weight management consultant, she has expanded her skills to teaching fitness & exercise, nutrition, yoga, Pilates & the NY City Ballet Workout. She is a guest teacher at summer dance intensives in AZ & at The Jillana School in New Mexico. Katherine has worked four seasons as a choreographer & associate production assistant for AZDance Group. She is delighted to share her enthusiasm & passion with young artists.
Nathalie Velasquez has been dancing since the age of eight. She began her training at Conservatory of Dance and continued with Betty Johnson School of Dance, Fred Astaire Dance Studio, Empire Dancesport & Paradise Valley Community College. Her dance experience includes Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Hula, Filipino Folk, and Rhythm 7 American Smooth Ballroom. She also studied piano for 12 years to parallel her dancing credits and played in the annual Phoenix Music Teacher's Playing Ensemble in the alumni group. Nathalie became an assistant teacher at Bender Performing Arts in 2003 and began teaching in 2006. She now shares her passion and knowledge of dance nationally. Some of her larger projects include Miss Teen World 2007 in Las Vegas, NV, Miss Hawaii Teen America 2007 in Honolulu, HI, and the Miss Teen World 2008 in Las Vegas, NV as the Artistic Producer & Choreographer and Shadow Mountain High School's Choir Choreographer in 2009. Nathalie is currently the Artistic Director of the Filipino-American Youth Association of Arizona. Nathalie helps manage her family’s business DJ RNV Entertainment and is the owner of Pretty Petals by NatHalie, custom hair accessory productions.
Born in South Africa, raised in Canada, Oliver Hilcove is now a U.S. citizen living in Scottsdale, AZ. He has been teaching dance in the Valley of the Sun for over 10 years. He has enjoyed competing professionally in many parts of the United States, including New Orleans, LA, Columbus, OH, Palm Springs, CA, Costa Mesa, CA and Phoenix, AZ and has produced scholarship trophy winners and Top Student Award winners in Pro/Am competition. Oliver helped create the Teacher’s Manual for a worldwide dance studio franchise. His patience and dedicated approach to teaching will help you amaze yourself.
Ron Velasquez started his dance training at Benders Performing Arts (formally known as Betty Johnson’s) at the age of 8. He primarily trained in ballet until the age of 18, when he found his true passion of hip-Hop. After studying under the direction of Ryan Ingram of Automatic Response Performing Company, Ron began teaching for an after school hip-hop program known as All the Right Moves. All the Right Moves teaches the history and fundamentals of hip-hop to under privileged kids throughout the valley. His sophomore year at Arizona State University, Ron joined the school hip-hop team, ASU hip-hop coalition, where he was a dedicated member for 2 years. Ron is trained in all forms of hip-hop including popping, locking, house dancing, breaking, and new style choreography. Today, Ron teaches at various studies across the valley and continues to take class from world-renowned teachers such as Tabitha D’umo, Marty Kudelka, and Shaun Evaristo.
