Studio Rules
Please read the following carefully. You and/or your child are expected to know and understand all of the "Studio Rules". If you have any questions please refer them to your teacher and/or the front office staff.

1. Studio rules:

- No food, drink, or gum allowed in the dance rooms.
- Restroom may be used before or after class, not during (unless it is an emergency.)
- Telephone calls are limited to two minutes (no long distance calls, and no social calls, phone is limited to calling for your ride).
- Take care of your dance shoes. Don’t wear them outside and write your name in every shoe.top^

- Unacceptable dance attire: costumes, no shirts that show your belly, baggy clothing of any kind, waistbands with buttons and zippers, jeans, and no dangling jewelry.top^

3. Attendance:

I. Regular attendance is essential in the learning process so please attend class regularly and be on time. This means arriving a few minutes early to allow time to put on dance shoes, use the restroom, get a drink, and so on. If a student must be absent, please inform the studio so a make-up class can be arranged. If there isn’t a make-up class for you or you are unable to attend one within 2 months, the lesson is forfeited. No credit or refunds will be given for unused classes. For recital you are allowed 5 absences from January to the end of June, when the recital is. It is essential that students are here to learn the dances so the other students who are there are not held back due to the others absences. You cannot miss more than this to be in the recital, even if you have already ordered your costume. No refunds will be given. Attendance is imperative to have a recital dance be clean and prepared for a performance.
II. If you are gone for more than 4 classes in a row without a valid excuse, your spot will be given up to someone else on the waiting list. If there is still a spot available in the class that you have been absent from, and the teacher of the class is ok with it, the child will have to register again and pay a new registration fee.top^

4. Disciplinary Action:
Students are expected to follow the rules in this form as well as have a positive attitude, put forth their best effort, and be respectful to others. If this is not the case, a student will be given two verbal warnings. On the third occasion a notice will be sent home requiring a parent’s signature. After that if the problem persists, the owner and instructors have the right to “drop” the student from the class without any refunds for tuition, costumes, etc.top^

5. Tuition:

Tuition is due in full on the first class of each month. Some months have only three weeks of classes due to holidays, however, other months have five weeks of classes, therefore the tuition remains the same for every month. Payments can be made by check or cash. Please make sure that you put the student’s name on the checks, and place the tuition in the appropriate area. If you don’t have the exact cash amount and must overpay, the extra amount will be credited to the next month’s tuition. No change will be given. A $25.00 returned check fee will be charged for any and all returned checks. A $15.00 late fee is required for payments made after the 10th of the month. An additional $5.00 will be added to your account after the 20th of the month. Again, no cash refunds or credit will be given for unused or missed classes and the full amount of tuition is due every month, even in June. There is sibling discounts for family’s with more than one student attending class. Private lessons are available at a cost of $25 for 30 minutes. If you have scheduled a private lesson and don’t show up, you will still be charged the full amount for that teacher’s time.top^

6. Registration:

There is a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee for the dance season if signing up after pre-registration. Pre-registration is offered in May and June at a fee of $20.00 per student for continuing students. All new students registration fee is $25.00. A copy of our registration form can be downloaded by clicking on this link.top^

7. Dance Schedule:

Prior to pre-registration, a tentative schedule will be created, and can change if the minimum of 6 students is not met. If this minimum is not met, that class will be canceled, and the schedule slightly altered. A maximum of 15 students is allowed per class to make sure that each child receives proper instruction. Musical Theatre can have up to 23 in a class. Your child will probably have more than one instructor.top^

8. Child Supervision:

Your child is under direct supervision during his/her scheduled class. Supervision isn’t offered before or after class, so it is imperative that you pick up the student on time. The instructors are not responsible for the child once class is over. We are not babysitters are dance teachers.top^

9. Dance Concerts/ Conventions/ Performance Opportunities:

The dance season begins in August and ends in June at which time an annual performance will be given. Additional costs for costumes, accessories, tickets, etc., will be necessary if the child wishes to participate. There will also be opportunities to dance at conventions, and once a year there will be auditions for the performing company (this is over and above the monthly tuition.) top^

10. Awards and Recognition:

A dancer of the month is chosen each month for a student who has excellent attitude, attendance and behavior. A Dancer of the Year will be chosen at the recital and announced at the recital, along with every student who has perfect attendnace, five year students and 10 year students.
